is a baritone born in Bratislava, Slovakia. He completed his studies at the University of Performing Arts in Bratislava in Opera Singing and Stage Design.He has won several prizes in various competitions including the 1st prize at the Hilde Zadek International Vocal Competition in Vienna and the International Antonin Dvořák competition in Czech Republic. Mr. Mazalan made his debut in 2008 at the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava in Haydn’s opera – L´isola disabitata conducted by Andrew Parrott. Peter Mazalan was a member of the Operastudio in Bayerische Staatsoper München, where he also played major roles in the Haydn´s La fedelta premiata and the Forester in the new production of Janáček´s Cunning little vixen. Later Mr. Mazalan became an ensemble member of the Stadttheater Klagenfurt where he sang in roles such as Zurga in Les Pecheurs de Perles and Ottokar in Freischutz. He appeared as a soloist in a concert with the Bayerisches Staatsorchester in the Antonín Dvořák´s Biblical songs and then sang with the orchestra of the Schleswig – Holstein Musik Festival in Händel´s Alexander´s Feast. Recently Peter Mazalan performed in Händel´s oratorio Messiah with the Münchener Symphoniker in Herkulessaal and Chorwerk Ruhr in Essen. He has also performed in Orff´s Carmina Burana in Lübeck, Sala São Paulo in Brazil, Rheingau Festival and on Festival Brno.
